Dr. Dakota Miller
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Dakota Miller was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley for her Bachelor’s Degree, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2017, she moved away from her hometown to attend UT Health San Antonio for dental school. She graduated in 2021 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the top of her class.
Following dental school, Dr. Miller was fortunate to stay in San Antonio to attend her top-choice orthodontic residency program. She graduated in May 2024 with her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s degree in Dental Science. During her time in residency, Dr. Miller treated a variety of orthodontic cases, including traditional braces, clear aligners, and surgical cases.
She obtained certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2024.
Dr. Miller is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists. She believes the most rewarding part of being an orthodontist is giving patients the confidence of a beautiful, functional smile. Outside of the office, Dr. Miller enjoys hiking and biking the San Antonio trails, barbecuing, and exploring farmer’s markets and coffee shops.
Cristiana (Kika) Araujo, DDS, MS
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Araujo (or Dr. Kika – it’s easier!) received her dental degree in 2005 from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais, her home state in Brazil, where she grew up, and received her Certificate and Masters degree in Orthodontics from the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University, Missouri. After working at her family’s orthodontic practice, she joined the faculty at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in Florida in 2011, but has been calling Texas home since 2018. She is board-certified and belongs to numerous national and international dental and orthodontic associations. Dr. Kika loves a good story, a good joke and a good laugh: she has a firm belief that orthodontists should strive to be the beautiful smiles they help create, because otherwise, it is just straightening teeth!
